June 2025 - Staff Meeting

Employee Update:

Beth Joy is no longer employed by DGL. This was not a sudden decision and was made with serious

consideration. DGL is strong, no need to worry. We will be covering for the various items/roles she played by the current admin. department. An automatic email reply will be added to her account to direct

correspondence to other staff. Please see Laurie or Ahmed with any specific questions or concerns.

New Employees:

• Administration: Brandon Setty (Maumee)

• Survey: Isaac York (Dublin)

• Construction: Zach Phillips (Independence)

• Co-Ops: Joel Horstman (Maumee-Civil), Allison McDowell (Maumee-Road/Traffic), Allison

  Strausbaugh (Port Clinton-Survey), Ryan Montross (Maumee-Bridge), Justin Smith (Dublin-Survey)

• Seasonal Construction (Maumee): Zak Hamid, Chase Kirk, Walker Lumbrezer, Cayron Wynn,

  Brandon Falls

Administration:

• Jane: Please be patient with requests over the next few weeks. Be sure to submit timesheets and

  expense reports timely to allow for time to approval and processing.

• Brandon: Currently reviewing safety bags for all DGL vehicles (owned & rentals), please keep an eye out for email and updates to content in existing bags. Will be reviewing DGL Safety Plan/Program.

Marketing:

• Lisa: many qualification renewals are in progress.

  • Need new project descriptions – particularly outside of NW Ohio.

  • Need all employees to update resumes – reach out if you have time to work on yours and the latest version will be provided.

  • Check all letters, proposals, reports to make sure the latest templates are used for letterhead and terms & conditions – submit to Lisa if unsure/need help.

• Logan: new website build-out is on-going, Jordan and Brandon are assisting with the process.

• 100-Year Anniversary swag and activities are in development and we are open to suggestions.

• Reminders:

  • Quarterly Photo Contest – submit your entries in either or both categories, “On the Job”

    or “Out and About” to win prizes.

  • Project Photos - Great time to have camera or drone photos taken.

  • Events – lots of golf events are popping up – please submit to Lisa/Logan for

    involvement & tracking for future budgeting/planning (even if it’s a “No-Go”).

DGL Fun & Giveback:

• Nick: Thank you for a great first Corn-Hole/Lunch event on Friday. Encourage all offices to have similar summer games events for employees.

• Amy: DGL Family Summer Party will be held on July 12th at the Glass City MetroPark – more to come.

• Ellen: DGL Golf Outing in the works, still contacting courses to finalize the details. Several give-back opportunities are in progress: transportation toy drive and gently used household & clothing drive.
